In short
We demolish commercial and industrial buildings in Mijas, break out slabs, driveways and foundations and remove the rubble by fraction to authorised facilities, with receipts. Mijas uses an official declaración responsable for works under the Andalusian regulations, works affecting the public road need prior authorisation and the town hall asks for a waste guarantee. Your técnico prepares the documentation and the owner files it.
Three different Mijas: village, coast and Las Lagunas
Mijas belongs to the Costa del Sol Occidental comarca. Mijas Pueblo, the administrative centre, is a whitewashed hillside village at about 430 m; La Cala de Mijas is a coastal resort; and Las Lagunas is a residential and commercial area next to Fuengirola. The Mijas Costa area adds residential developments such as Calahonda and Riviera.
Each area produces a different kind of job. Las Lagunas has commercial and storage buildings that fall under our warehouse and industrial demolition. The developments of Mijas Costa generate concrete work on private plots. The village has tight streets and slopes where machines are small and hand work is common.
Driveways, patios and slabs on residential plots
On the coast many enquiries are for concrete rather than buildings: a driveway, a patio, a terrace slab or the footings of an outbuilding that a new design does not need. Our slab and foundation removal handles them with a compact excavator and breaker, separating any mesh or rebar and leaving the area at a basic level.
On a plot inside an urbanisation, access is the first thing we check: gate widths, the slope of the drive and whether a lorry can turn. Where it cannot, rubble leaves in a skip placed on the plot or in rubble bags. If the job forms part of a building under propiedad horizontal and affects common elements, the owners' meeting must agree first.
Permits, the public road and the waste guarantee in Mijas
Mijas uses an official declaración responsable for works that cites article 293.1 of the Reglamento General de la LISTA, and works affecting the public road need prior authorisation. Outside protected buildings and settings, total or partial demolition in Andalusia generally goes by declaración responsable.
- The owner and their técnico prepare and file the declaración responsable; we do not.
- A skip, scaffold or materials on the street need the road authorisation before work starts.
- The town hall requires a fianza or guarantee for construction and demolition waste, returned once delivery to an authorised manager is proven.
Our delivery receipts are what your técnico uses to prove that delivery.
Hillside sites and old walls
Remains of the old town wall and several coastal watchtowers are still visible in the municipality. They are a reminder that some plots, particularly near the village and along the coast, may lie close to protected elements; in protected settings a demolition needs a licence, so ask your técnico to confirm it early.
On the steep land below the village, plots are terraced and often held up by retaining walls. The machine works from the upper platform, walls supporting a neighbour stay unless your técnico says otherwise, and rubble is brought to the access point in manageable loads.
Rubble removal and skip hire in Mijas
Rubble from our work leaves sorted by fraction in skips, rubble bags or on lorries, according to volume and access, and each load goes to an authorised facility. Our rubble removal and skips are part of the demolition we carry out rather than a separate skip hire service.
Owners must keep vacant plots clean and safe; otherwise the town hall can order the clearing and carry it out at the owner's expense. Once a building comes down, leaving the plot clear of remains is therefore part of the job. For houses and villas in Mijas, see Demoliciones Málaga in Mijas.

Frequently asked questions
Do you remove driveways and patios in Calahonda and other Mijas Costa developments?
Yes. Small concrete jobs are done with a compact machine and the rubble leaves in a skip or rubble bags.
Can you demolish a commercial unit in Las Lagunas?
Yes, as a machine demolition with hand work along any wall shared with a building that stays.
Does Mijas ask for a waste guarantee?
Yes, the town hall requires a fianza or guarantee for construction and demolition waste, returned once delivery to an authorised manager is proven.
Who files the declaración responsable in Mijas?
The owner, with documentation prepared by their técnico. We work from it.
Can a skip stand on the street outside my plot?
Only with the town hall's prior authorisation for works affecting the public road.
Can you work in the narrow streets of Mijas Pueblo?
Yes, with small machines and hand work, once access and the procedure have been checked.
Do you demolish by hand as well?
Yes. Hand work is used near party walls, inside buildings that stay and where machines cannot reach, combined with machine demolition.
Do you publish demolition prices?
No. Cost depends on structure, materials, access and waste; the calculator on Presupuesto Demolición gives a rounded orientation band.
Do you work from my architect's or engineer's documentation?
Yes. We follow the proyecto or memoria técnica prepared by your técnico and coordinate dates with them.
Can you remove concrete slabs and hardstanding?
Yes. Floor slabs, yards, loading areas, patios and driveways are broken out, the steel separated and the rubble removed.
