A selection of our own machine and industrial demolition work, described only by what each photo shows.
Location and date of each job are not published. The descriptions are limited to the technique and what can be seen in the photo.
Top-down machine demolition
Top-down demolition of a four-storey industrial building
Top-down demolition of a four-storey old industrial building with a long-reach Liebherr excavator and shears
The building is demolished from the highest floor downwards with a long-reach Liebherr excavator fitted with shears. Working from the ground keeps operators off the upper floors, and the debris falls onto the building's own footprint rather than towards its surroundings.

What the photo shows
Four-storey old industrial building partly demolished from the top
Reinforced concrete demolition
Reinforced concrete building brought down with a crusher
Hitachi excavator with a demolition crusher bringing down a multi-storey reinforced concrete building, with water spray for dust control
The crusher bites into the reinforced concrete frame of a multi-storey building, breaking slabs and freeing the rebar. A water spray aimed at the point of work keeps the dust down while the structure comes down storey by storey.

Industrial building demolition
Concrete-block industrial building demolished with shears
Mechanical demolition of a concrete-block industrial building with shears and water mist
The block walls of an industrial building are cut down from the top with demolition shears, keeping the rubble inside the footprint. Water mist is applied during the work so that dust does not spread across the site.

Foundation removal
Breaking reinforced ground beams beside a steel hall
Breaking reinforced concrete ground beams with a Hitachi hydraulic breaker and a Liebherr excavator beside a steel hall
Reinforced concrete ground beams are broken out with a Hitachi hydraulic breaker, with a Liebherr excavator alongside to handle and sort the broken pieces. The work takes place right next to a steel hall, which is why the breaking is controlled and progressive.

On-site crushing
Mobile crushing of demolition rubble
Kleemann Mobicat MC 110 R EVO mobile jaw crusher processing demolition rubble, fed by a CAT excavator
Mineral rubble from the demolition is fed into a Kleemann Mobicat MC 110 R EVO mobile jaw crusher by a CAT excavator. The crushed material leaves on the conveyor to a stockpile, turning the rubble into graded aggregate.

Rubble sorting and removal
Sorting brick rubble beside basement walls
CAT excavator on brick rubble next to a partly demolished old building and basement walls
After the structure of an old building has come down, a CAT excavator works on the brick rubble, separating it and preparing it for loading. The basement walls of the building are still standing next to the rubble.
