In short
We demolish commercial and industrial buildings in Estepona by machine, break out slabs and foundations and remove the rubble sorted for authorised facilities, with receipts. Many owners manage the work from abroad, so we communicate in English and send photo updates. Each ayuntamiento sets its own documents and deadlines, so your técnico confirms the procedure first.
What industrial and commercial demolition looks like in Estepona
Estepona is on the Costa del Sol Occidental and has about 21 km of coastline, with settlements spread along it and up into the hills: Cancelada, El Padrón, Bel-Air, Valle Romano, Benavista and Costa Natura among them. The buildings we are asked to demolish are mostly commercial and service buildings, storage units and concrete structures on plots that are worth more without them.
Those jobs combine our warehouse and industrial demolition with slab and foundation removal, because a new project usually needs the plot clear of old floors, car parks and footings too.
Hillside plots below the Sierra Bermeja
The municipal area includes mountainous terrain dominated by the Sierra Bermeja, which reaches 1,449 m at Los Reales. Plots on the slopes above the coast are often built on terraces held by retaining walls, with driveways, platforms and pools cut into the hillside.
On these sites the machine works from the top platform down and the edges are left as the técnico specifies. Breaking out a slab that also acts as a prop for a wall, or removing a retaining wall that supports a neighbour, is never done without that instruction. Rubble is usually brought up to the access level and loaded there; on steep sites, smaller loads and more trips are part of the plan.
Old town, port and what lies underground
The old town keeps narrow streets and small one-storey houses, mostly from the 18th and 19th centuries. There a full-size excavator is rarely an option, and work moves towards compact machines and hand work. Estepona also has a working fishing port and marina, and the Monterroso river runs underground along the west of the town since it was culverted in 1973.
That last point illustrates a general rule for coastal towns: before foundations are broken out, the técnico should know what runs below and beside the plot, from culverts to drains and service pipes. Our machine demolition stops at the agreed level and does not dig into unknown ground.
Managing an Estepona demolition from abroad
Many owners on this coast live elsewhere. You can write to us in English; we coordinate dates with your architect or engineer, tell you what the town hall usually asks for, and send photo updates at the main stages. For the paperwork the owner identifies with their DNI, NIE or NIF.
- Your técnico prepares the documentation and the owner files it with the ayuntamiento.
- If a skip or materials stand on the public road, authorisation to occupy the road is needed first.
- Our rubble removal and skips deliver each fraction to an authorised facility, and you receive the receipts.
For villas and houses rather than commercial buildings, see Demoliciones Málaga in Estepona.
Commercial premises inside a residential building
Not every commercial demolition in Estepona is a stand-alone building. Shops, garages and storage units often sit on the ground floor of a block under propiedad horizontal. In that case the community of owners must be informed before walls, structure or façade elements are demolished, and works affecting common elements need the agreement of the owners' meeting.
Inside the premises, the work is usually closer to an interior strip-out than to machine demolition: slabs and walls are cut and broken in small sections, and the rubble leaves through the shop front in bags or small skips. For that kind of work, see also Demolición Interior Málaga.

Frequently asked questions
Do you work in Cancelada, Benavista and the other Estepona settlements?
Yes, across the whole municipality and the rest of the Costa del Sol.
Can you remove an old car park or hardstanding before a new development?
Yes. Hardstanding and floor slabs are broken out by machine, the steel separated and the rubble removed by fraction.
My plot is on a steep slope. How does the rubble get out?
It is brought up to the access level and loaded there, often in smaller loads. The method is set after seeing the site.
Can you work in Estepona's old town?
Yes, with compact machines and hand work suited to the narrow streets, once the procedure has been confirmed with the ayuntamiento.
What should I check before foundations near the coast are removed?
Ask your técnico to establish what runs under and beside the plot, such as drains, culverts and service pipes.
Can I follow the whole job by email and photos?
Yes. Many owners do. We send photo updates at each main stage and coordinate the technical side with your técnico.
Can I manage the demolition from abroad?
Yes. We communicate in English, coordinate with your local técnico or representative and can send photo updates at agreed stages.
What if suspected asbestos turns up during the work?
Work in that area stops, you and your técnico are informed, and a RERA-registered company assesses and removes it before work continues.
Can you demolish a warehouse with an uralita roof?
Yes. The asbestos cement roof is removed first by a RERA-registered company working as our subcontractor, and then we demolish the structure.
Do you remove foundations?
Yes, to the depth agreed with you and your técnico according to what the site will be used for.
