In short

We demolish warehouses, workshops and rural buildings in Coín and remove concrete slabs, yards and foundations, with the rubble sorted and delivered to authorised facilities. Where the site has a history of quarrying or lies near a protected archaeological site, your técnico checks the conditions before work starts. We work from that documentation and coordinate dates with you.

Industrial demolition in the capital of the valley

Coín lies in the middle of the Guadalhorce valley and is the capital of that comarca, at about 202 m and some 33 km from Málaga. As the traditional main town of the valley, it has the workshops, storage halls and commercial buildings that serve the surrounding countryside, as well as rural buildings on the plots around it.

When such a building is replaced, the demolition usually includes the structure and the concrete around it. Our warehouse and industrial demolition covers the building itself, while slab and foundation removal deals with floors, yards and ground beams down to the depth agreed with your técnico.

Former quarry sites and plant structures

The municipality has had marble, dolomite and sand quarries. Where a plot was linked to that kind of activity, it may still hold concrete bases for plant, hoppers, walls and platforms built to carry heavy loads. These are demolished element by element, because massive bases often need a breaker while lighter steelwork can be cut with shears.

Plant dismantling comes first: the owner removes or arranges the sale of any equipment they want to keep, and what remains is cut, sorted and loaded as scrap steel. The concrete is then broken out and separated from its reinforcement. Our machine demolition page explains how each attachment is chosen.

Heritage in Coín: what to check first

The church and convent of Santa María de la Encarnación has been a Bien de Interés Cultural (Monument) since 2008, and the Llano de la Virgen archaeological site is also listed as a Bien de Interés Cultural. In protected settings and archaeological zones a demolition needs a licence rather than a declaración responsable.

For most industrial plots that will not apply, but it is worth confirming early. Before work starts, check with the ayuntamiento which procedure applies and, if a skip or scaffolding stands on the street, obtain authorisation to occupy the public road. Your técnico prepares the documentation; we carry out the work it describes.

Rubble, skips and recycling

On our sites rubble is sorted as the structure comes down: concrete, masonry, steel, timber and the lighter fractions travel separately to authorised facilities, and each load comes with a delivery receipt. Where there is a large volume of clean concrete and room on the plot, crushing on site can be assessed as an alternative.

The town hall can require a fianza or guarantee for construction and demolition waste, returned once delivery to an authorised manager is proven; the amount depends on its ordinance. For house and villa demolition in and around Coín, see Demoliciones Málaga in Coín.

Steel halls and block workshops: two different jobs

Building typeHow it usually comes downMain fractions
Steel-framed hall with sheet claddingCladding off, frame cut with shears and lowered in sectionsIron and steel, insulation, the concrete floor
Concrete-block or brick workshopWalls pulled in towards the inside with a crusher or grabConcrete, bricks, mixed masonry, timber roof parts
Reinforced concrete frameTop-down with crusher, rebar separatedConcrete, iron and steel

Many buildings in the valley mix these systems, with a block ground floor and a light roof, so the method is set element by element rather than for the building as a whole.

Frequently asked questions

Can you demolish the concrete bases left from old quarry plant?

Yes. Massive bases are broken out with excavator-mounted breakers and the steel is cut and separated as scrap.

Who removes the machinery from a plant before demolition?

The owner removes or sells what they want to keep. Whatever is left becomes part of the demolition and is sorted as metal.

Does Coín's heritage affect a demolition on an industrial plot?

Usually not, but protected settings and archaeological zones need a licence. Your técnico confirms it with the ayuntamiento.

How deep do you remove foundations?

To the depth set in your técnico's documentation or agreed for the new project.

Can you demolish a workshop in the town centre where machines cannot get in?

Yes, with more hand work and a compact machine; the method is decided after seeing the access.

Can you send me photos of the progress?

Yes. We send photo updates at the main stages, which is useful if you manage the job from elsewhere.

Do you demolish by hand as well?

Yes. Hand work is used near party walls, inside buildings that stay and where machines cannot reach, combined with machine demolition.

Do you publish demolition prices?

No. Cost depends on structure, materials, access and waste; the calculator on Presupuesto Demolición gives a rounded orientation band.

Do you work from my architect's or engineer's documentation?

Yes. We follow the proyecto or memoria técnica prepared by your técnico and coordinate dates with them.

Can you remove concrete slabs and hardstanding?

Yes. Floor slabs, yards, loading areas, patios and driveways are broken out, the steel separated and the rubble removed.
