In short
We demolish industrial, agricultural and livestock buildings in Campillos and across the Guadalteba comarca by machine, with slabs, pits and foundations removed as agreed and the rubble sorted for authorised facilities. Where a building's past use may have left residues, the owner's técnico has that assessed before demolition. Asbestos roofs are removed first by a RERA-registered subcontractor.
What gets demolished in Campillos
Campillos is the capital of the Guadalteba comarca, and its economy combines farming, pig rearing and a significant leather and tanning industry. The buildings that reach the end of their life reflect that mix: livestock units, feed and machinery stores, workshops and industrial premises. All of them come under our warehouse and industrial demolition service.
The Guadalteba groups nine municipalities, including Ardales, Campillos, Teba and Sierra de Yeguas, and we cover all of them. The town itself lies at 461 m.
Livestock buildings: what lies below the floor
Livestock buildings usually carry more concrete below floor level than their light roofs suggest. Pits, channels, slatted floors and thick slabs are common in intensive units, and they are often reinforced. Our concrete demolition breaks these out with excavator-mounted breakers and crushers and frees the rebar so that concrete and steel leave separately.
Before machines go in, the owner has the pits emptied and cleaned through the channels that apply to that kind of residue; that is not demolition waste and not part of our scope. Once they are empty, we agree with your técnico how deep the concrete is removed and how the openings are filled or the ground is left.
Former industrial premises: check the history of the building first
Industrial buildings can hold more than concrete and steel. If a building was used for processes involving chemicals, such as tanning, the owner's técnico should establish beforehand whether there are tanks, drains or residues that need specific handling. Hazardous substances are kept apart from the rest of the demolition waste, and contaminated soil is a separate matter for specialists.
Older premises also often have fibre-cement roofs. The asbestos removal is carried out by a company registered in the RERA working as our subcontractor, under its own work plan approved by the labour authority, and its waste never mixes with the rest. See Retirada de Uralita Málaga for how that part of the job is organised.
Near the lagoons: dust, runoff and transport routes
The municipal area contains the Lagunas de Campillos Nature Reserve, with lagoons such as Laguna Dulce and Laguna Salada. Near protected natural areas we keep dust down with water at the point of work, avoid letting runoff carry fines off the plot and keep stockpiles compact and short-lived.
The Guadalteba is a mountainous area within the Surco Intrabético, whose ranges make access from the south of the province difficult. That affects how rubble is moved: routes to authorised facilities are planned with the lorry size in mind, and loads go out sorted by fraction, as described on our rubble removal and skips page. Each load comes with a delivery receipt.
Order of work on a Campillos site
A typical sequence keeps hazardous and non-hazardous work apart from the start:
- The owner empties pits and removes stock, feed, chemicals and equipment they want to keep.
- Suspected asbestos is removed by the RERA-registered subcontractor before anything else is touched.
- Light materials, insulation, timber and plastic are stripped out and loaded separately.
- The structure is demolished by machine and the steel sorted as it comes down.
- Floors, pits and foundations are broken out to the depth your técnico specifies.
Following that order is what selective demolition, mandatory since 1 January 2024, means in practice.

Frequently asked questions
Can you demolish a pig unit including the pits under the floor?
Yes, once the owner has had the pits emptied and cleaned. The reinforced concrete is then broken out and the steel separated.
Is slurry or manure part of the demolition waste?
No. It has to be removed by the owner through its own channels before demolition starts.
What if a former tannery building still has tanks or drains?
Your técnico assesses them beforehand. Hazardous residues are handled separately and are not mixed with demolition rubble.
Do you work in Teba, Ardales and Sierra de Yeguas as well?
Yes, the whole Guadalteba comarca and the rest of the province of Málaga.
How do you protect the lagoons nature reserve during the work?
By controlling dust with water at the point of work, preventing runoff from the plot and keeping stockpiles small and short-lived.
Can I visit the site while the demolition is under way?
Yes, by arrangement and with the site's safety rules. We can also send photo updates if you cannot be there.
How is the rubble taken away?
In skips, rubble bags or straight onto lorries, depending on volume and access, always sorted by fraction.
How do you limit vibration near other buildings?
By using crushers instead of breakers at boundaries, cutting instead of breaking where needed and, if the técnico requires it, monitoring.
Who appoints the health and safety coordinator?
When several companies or self-employed workers take part, the promotor appoints a health and safety coordinator for the execution phase.
Who files the declaración responsable for a demolition?
The owner, with the documentation prepared by their técnico. We do not file it, but we work from it.
